From the archives: include("best_of.inc") ?> Remember, remember 11 September; Murderous monsters in flight; Reject their dark game; And let Liberty's flame; Burn prouder and ever more bright - Geoffrey Barto "Bjørn Stærks hyklerske dobbeltmoral er til å spy av. Under det syltynne fernisset av redelighet sitter han klar med en vulkan av diagnoser han kan klistre på annerledes tenkende mennesker når han etter beste evne har spilt sine kort. Jeg tror han har forregnet seg. Det blir ikke noe hyggelig under sharia selv om han har slikket de nye herskernes støvlesnuter."

Revolution called off, nobody came
I've moved the April's Fool / Beam Day version of this blog here. I'm getting to like my alter ego - he's not evil, just .. misguided - but it's back in the closet for the dictator wannabe. Incidentally, I got a mail from Alex Beam yesterday, (genuine or a good forgery), with an article he (supposedly) wrote in 1994. I married a Norwegian. Yes, she's blue-eyed and blond like an astonishing 86 percent of her countrymen. And yes, she's the mother of three little blond boys, whose only shortcoming is that you need sunglasses to look down on the tops of their heads. My wife has a sign in her office: "Speak slowly; I'm naturally blond." See how funny Norwegians can be, if you get to know them? Beam married to a Norwegian? Now that's just plain strange.

Do a google image search on Alex Beam. He looks sort of Norwegian-ish. I would have him shot despite this or even for this. His email was a veiled threat to the Dictator (or, the Embodiment of the Idea). | 2003-04-03 02:27 | Link Hm, who's Beam? (Excuse my ignorance.) During my single vacation in Norway, with my young wife and infant child, I managed to "fall in love" with the "natives" perhaps half a dozen times. And I don't believe a single one of those Nordic charmers was a blonde. ct, no cal | 2003-04-03 06:40 | Link The blondes are all shipped to Mexico to perform on Hispanic television networks. Alex Beam is the newspaper columnist who fell for Bjorn's April Fool's Day joke last year (which was similar to the one this year). It was greatly remarked upon in the blogosphere because he did it in a column that was sneering towards the blog phenomenon itself. You should be shot for even questioning the Dictator's post in any of its facts, and you certainly have done this (don't protest that you havn't) because you've done it obliquely and implicitly suggesting even the possibility that Alex Beam is not somebody that doesn't need to be described by the Dictator. If the Dictator chose to reference Alex Beam without explanation that should be enough for you to know that Alex Beam is somebody that you know about.
